I’m a total novice with board games, but absolutely loved this! Obviously, I’ve played monopoly and mousetrap, etc, but this was my first “cooperative board game.”
My advice would be to find a good YouTube video explaining the game first, then read the rules, and have their hand for the first game. It’s a lot to take on all in one go, but once you get going the gameplay is logical and easy to follow.
Gameplay-wise, the tension can quickly start to mount as the viruses start to spread through the cities and this really brings out the best in relationships with your other players. You really have to communicate and know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
All I learned about my father from playing Monopoly with him is that he has a great poker face and is even more miserly in a fantasy reality than in real life! I also know my mother is a wanton cheat who would really rather the game would hurry up and get finished! That kind of game, with players, pitted against each other, just doesn’t make for a happy Christmas/get-together!
The box and components are sturdy, the instructions are clear, well-illustrated, and easy to follow and the graphics, etc look nice.
Highly recommended!

I really love this game! It is so easy to learn Pandemic, with few rules to remember, but it still delivers many variations and difficulty levels for different player types. People who are new to gaming can start with an easy level just with 4 Epidemic cards, but experts can use 6 Epidemic cards. Also, with all the expansions available this game will never get boring. I would also suggest getting In the Lab expansion and On the Brink expansion for an even better experience.
The quality of the game is excellent, it is very well made and tokens are made from plastic. It is better than the previous version which was from cardboard.
The main plus for this game is that it doesn’t have a lot of cards or tokens. It has 2 decks of cards, 6 research stations, pawns, and disease cubes. That’s it! So, it is very easy to prepare the game (just a few minutes) and there is a very small chance to lose the tokens like it is with bigger games which consist of sooo many small details, that it is mind-blowing to put it all back together.
So, I definitely recommend this game and I think that this game should be in everyone’s collection if they are interested in gaming even just a little bit. It will be fun to play with friends and family. And from my own experience, I don’t know anybody who didn’t like the game.

The game is very, very good. The only problem I had is that one of the black tokens was missing. The item came perfectly packed and the box was sealed with its plastic so I understand that it should be a problem of the publisher and not the seller or Amazon. Still, I think it’s good to leave it commented.
Regarding the game. At the moment I have only played it as a solitaire (you can play perfectly as a solo). It has a lot of strategy and knowing the abilities of each character is mandatory. Also the new variants of the game are plus to this edition of Pandemia. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent game. Bought it for my son’s birthday, just as the Covid 19 pandemic hit us! It’s a really interesting game. Takes a couple of games to get used to the rules, but once you have the hang of it, it’s great. Games are limited in time, because of the number of cards, so you don’t have time to get bored (unlike Monopoly!).
There are lots of scenarios that can play out and the luck of the cards has a very big impact on how the game goes. If the cards fall your way, it’s easy to win (particularly on the lower levels of difficulty), but just when you think you’ve got the game licked, you get a tough run and the game beats you.
I love the collaborative aspect of the game. It’s so different from the normal competition and drives a whole different type of conversation (and arguments!).
Thoroughly recommended.

This is different enough from the usual Pandemic to make it well worth buying. We have found it more difficult to win, especially if you add in any of the three mini expansions included. The hospital expansion, where sufferers piggy back existing rail lines you have laid, thus quickly causing outbreaks, to get to hospitals is fiendish! The historical aspect also is very much part of the game. Your technology is limited, as is your ability to move around quickly
One of the winning difficulties is that you can never actually eradicate a disease, which you can do in usual Pandemic . So, even when a ‘cure’ has been found, new incidences of that disease still keep on occurring. You have to be very careful not to leave an area isolated from the rail tracks you lay, otherwise they become inaccessible. We are very keen Pandemic players and have enjoyed many games of this version.

We played this with our 8-year-old and 10-year-old daughters and once we got the hang of it, we all had so much fun, collectively being disappointed when we initially lost and wanting to go again to win! On the first read of the rules, we were daunted but it is actually quite an easy game to play with minimal setup.
In most board games you are competing against each other, so it was refreshing to play a game where you have to all collaborate if you want to stand a chance of winning. This was a major selling point to me and I am pleased to say that the game certainly requires teamwork and it was very pleasing playing as a group together rather than trying to outdo each other. The atmosphere playing this game was very positive and we were all soon immersed in trying to stop the spread of infection and cure the diseases, discussing various strategies and approaches with the different roles each player had and the cards they were dealt.
Having only played traditional board games, this was the first game of this type we have played. I was unsure how my youngest daughter would take to it and wasn’t sure if my wife would like it but they both loved it. There is plenty of replay value in the game, particularly as there are 3 difficulty levels (increasing difficulty with adding more epidemic cards to the deck).
Overall, I can highly recommend this game.
